It took me a long time before I
realized God loves me as I am—warts and all.
His dying on the cross made it possible for me not to be afraid of
admitting my mistakes—sins. I am human
and will sin against God and those in my family, community, church, State,
Country and World for that matter. I
claim the promise that God forgives me as I confess the feelings I am
experiencing to Him and to myself. I am
freed from carrying the heavy burden of guilt.
Our commission is to get off our
knees and live as effective disciples of our Lord. We are freed up to live our lives as a
response for what God has already done for us in Jesus Christ. To be content!
Our confidence is that we are
loved, so we can love. We are forgiven,
so we can forgive. We are served, so we
can serve.
